STUDY PROPOSALS

Thank you for your interest in submitting your study proposal for approval by the Canadian Pediatric Program Directors research group.  Please email your proposal to our CPPD-RG chairperson at new@cppd.ca.  Your email will then be forwarded to our group for review and we will contact you with any questions or clarifications.  If the CPPD group approves your study, you will receive an approval letter via email and your project will be listed on our Projects Page on the CPPD website.

If your study involves a survey to the pediatric residents, we will distribute the survey for you.  Given the problem of survey fatigue, we will also determine the best month for your survey to be distributed and will inform you of this timing.

As of July 2016, the total number of pediatric residents in our 18 training programs is 653.  This includes 546 primarily English-speaking residents and 107 primarily French-speaking residents, with several additional residents from medical genetics and pediatric neurology who are rotating through general pediatrics.  The total number is subject to change for residents who are off-track because of leaves of absence.

For approved studies, abstracts for publication and/or presentation and manuscripts should be submitted for evaluation also.  Our group will review and provide feedback in a timely manner (usually within two weeks).  The CPPD group should be acknowledged in all publications and presentations; the CPPD logo will be provided upon request.

For any questions, please email us at new@cppd.ca.
